Spiritual Gangster Part 4

This fourth look in the Spiritual Gangster series is an interesting mix: it made me feel sweet and sexy, girly and punk, Evil Queen yet Pretty Princess. I'm highly aware that this is a ridiculous range of emotions for going to Synagogue, but I'm just airing my thoughts😝...

The literal "crowning achievement" here is yet another stellar, handmade piece from my friend Nini K.  Nini's knit winter crowns were what initially made me gaga (Blaga?) for her goods. I do love a statement headpiece! I know it takes major balls to wear one, but clearly I have them, so why not?? Without the crown this outfit is nothing to really write home about. Sure, each piece is cool and it all totally jives together, but the head action is the driving force here. It carries the ensemble. So nothing else I'm wearing here should compete with it.

The delicate yet chic Isabel Marant blouse is one of my favorites. I love the clean, no flap collar. The cute, short Blumarine pleated mini is ancient yet does the trick every time. It's cute and sexy. I adore classic black fishnets, but they looked blah until I cut them up. Adds some punk to the otherwise sweet undertones of the look. It worked because of the black and red color scheme. I would not suggest tearing up your tights if you're wearing pastels or sequins😉.

These rad Tabitha Simmons illusion booties are the perfect mix of sweet and sexy as well.  A classic Mary Jane with a suede faux sock.  Edgy and feminine, a terrific combo. There is an awesome top to bottom balance here, since the look begins and ends with fabulous statement pieces. The middle items are excellent chapters in between an impactful prologue and epilogue. Nothing is weak here, yet some pieces are stronger than others. The formula works. This outfit has a major flirt factor, which is why it can be worn to so many various occasions.  It commands respect but doesn't take itself too seriously. Which is a boss way to carry yourself in general. It's all about the right mix. You are more diverse than you realize, I promise. We all are. This week, make it a point to honor all parts of yourself. Some of your components may need dusting off, but make no mistake, they are hiding in the attic somewhere. Find them. Polish them. Enjoy them. Enjoy yourself.
