Mother Nature
/We are real nature and animal enthusiasts in our home. Dream trip; African Safari. Almost nothing affirms my belief in God more than the wonders of nature. I wholeheartedly believe in the premise of the Broadway show "Wicked", in which humans and animals originally had the ability to fully communicate with one another. Then the world got effed up and that ability was lost over time. Things got diluted.
On a trip to this alpaca horse farm in the Israeli desert, I enjoyed talking to this horse, I even tried to braid her hair, but she didn't like that very much. Apparently, she prefers a more natural look. I get it!
We always have at least one dog, and when I used to walk our dearly departed boxer, Roxy, I swear I always thought, this is how God intended the world to be. A symbiosis of humankind and the animal world. It just felt right. The day we had to put her to sleep was a terrible, sad day. It was a massive loss. We were so lucky to have had her, and it reminded me of what I already knew, that it's better to have loved and lost than to never have had that love in the first place. Love comes in all forms, I'm grateful my children experience the majesty and heart nature can bring.
