Douchey Word Alert: Smoressants

I find it hilarious when people take the liberty to invent/fuse words. We have no right. But it is cool to be creative in your kitchen and produce something delicious and innovative. Especially when this Jesscipe took two minutes and made your family so happy on a snow day!

I had chocolate croissants that were on the verge of going to waste. A crime. I mean, I could not let that happen. I have a responsibility to pastry kind. I think I just made up a word๐Ÿ˜œ

JESScipe - Smoressants

INGREDIENTS

Croissants
Chocolate (bars, chips, anything!)
Marshmallows
ย

DIRECTIONS

I sliced them lengthwise, put them crust down in a tin pan, placed a layer of milk chocolate, a layer of marshmallows (you could use small or big), and put in my oven for I think three minutes.

I set the oven to the regular 350 but you won't even get there. You just need to warm until the chocolate is melted and the marshmallows puff up. Ghostbusters visual ๐Ÿ‘ป๐Ÿ‘ป๐Ÿ‘ป.

Then I moved the pan higher up on a rack, set the oven to broil, but not too high that I couldn't see, since when I did in fact make that mistake, I set the whole thing on fire. Actual flames.

The point of the broiler is just to lightly brown and caramelize the tops of the marshmallows. This will happen VERY FAST. Perhaps in seconds, no big deal, just watch carefully. Be on standby with your oven mitts on. Battle ready.

Remove from oven, then smush down with a graham cracker. This looks really pretty on a white platter or cake stand. But seriously, only make this for someone you really love. Despite the simplicity, this is quite a special treat. Anyone crappy isn't deserving of your teffort (translation: time and effort).
